Homemade Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Bark

I’m always happy to make pretty easy yet yummy recipes, and I shared a lot of quick recipes with only a few ingredients. Well, this chocolate bark could be on top of this list, as you need no more than 3 ingredients! Woo-hoo! This chocolate bark is portable, perfect for a fun homemade dessert, moreover it’s endlessly customizable. Fun to make and great energy boost throughout the day!😊  

  

YOU’LL NEED

This simple recipe calls for only a few ingredients:

*Dark Chocolate

*Hazelnuts

*Vanilla extract

 

TIPS

*You might want skip the melting process and just microwave the chocolate. Well, the result won’t be exactly the same, the chocolate bark is likely to be drier and less glossy.

*If you prefer, you can roast the hazelnuts beforehand. Just pop them in the oven for 10 minutes on 350F/180C/Gas mark 4.

 HOMEMADE DARK CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT BARK

(vegan, gluten and refined sugar free)


Preparation+Cooking time: 10 minutes

Chilling time: 10 minutes

Total time: 20 minutes

Yields: 8

 

Ingredients

*200g dark chocolate

*⅓ cup hazelnut

*1 tsp vanilla extract

 

Method

1. Break the chocolate into small pieces. Chop the hazelnut into smaller pieces if required. 


2. In a medium pot bring 50ml water to simmer. Place a heatproof bowl over the top (making sure the water is not touching the bottom of the bowl). Add the chocolate pieces into the bowl and stir regularly until completely melted.


3. Take it off form the heat and mix in the vanilla extract and hazelnut pieces. Spoon the melted chocolate on a baking paper-lined baking tray. Smooth over with a spoon or spatula until equally spread.


4. Place in the fridge for at least 10 minutes or until solid. Remove baking paper, with your hands break the bark into desirable pieces or cut with a knife.

Notes

*To Store: it keeps in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4-5 days.
