When we are in need of a cup of coffee... well for me it’s every morning and a at least one more time during the day. The pour over method is the perfect way to brew your ground coffee. Follow these easy steps below to make this aromatic and tasty drink.π
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
These are the ingredients you’ll need:
*Filtered water
*Ground coffee
Optional toppings:
*Whipped cream/froth
*Cinnamon/cocoa powder
TIPS
Here are some tips to consider to achieve the best flavours and aromas:
*Use good quality whole beans for your coffee if you have your own grinder, ideally it’s best to grind the beans right before the brew. Alternatively get good quality ground coffee.
*Filtered water improves the quality of your coffee.
*Coffee blooming is a chemical reaction, when the hot water comes in contact with the coffee grounds. This release of gas has a great effect on the taste of the coffee. A slower pour results in a more aromatic and tastier coffee.
*Feel free to adjust the amount of coffee and water according to your personal preference.
*Add ice cubes, if you prefer iced coffee.

Ingredients
*2 cups of filtered water
*4 tbsp of ground coffee
Optional toppings

Method
1. Bring the water to boil.
2. Add coffee grounds to the filter above the carafe and shake gently to settle.
3. Slowly begin to pour the water onto the carafe in a circular motion, but just add enough water to cover the coffee grounds (this way the coffee can ‘bloom’-see above).
4. Wait about 30-40 seconds before continue to pour all of the water over the ground coffee.
5. Brew coffee, pour it into mug and spoon your whipped cream/froth over the coffee. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon.
6. Serve right away, enjoy!π

* To Store: refrigerate this coffee (without milk/cream) up to 24 hours.
