I don’t know about you, but I really enjoy toast in the mornings because it’s a quick way to enjoy a yummy and nutritious breakfast. Adding chia jam to your toast, especially if it’s homemade is a real treat. The absolute best option when you’re craving something sweet and comforting! Last but not least, this jam is vegan, refined sugar free and also gluten free.

YOU’LL NEED for the Toast
Bread: bread or croissant of your choice.
Butter: it’s optional, but a really nice addition to this breakfast. You might want to try this toast with a thin layer of cream cheese, peanut butter or ricotta cheese instead.
Berry Chia Jam: see my homemade recipe just below.
YOU’LL NEED for the Berry Chia Jam
Chia seeds: you can try either black or white. Feel free to use whichever you prefer or available in your local shop.
Berries: you can use fresh or frozen fruit. I used mixed berries, but this recipe also works with a range of different soft fruits.
Sweetener/maple syrup: use your favourite sweetener, honey, agave or maple syrup.
Lemon: add juice of fresh lemon.
