YOU'LL NEED
This simple smoothie recipe calls for three ingredients:
Spinach: I used raw and frozen spinach, but feel free to use fresh!
Banana: I used one banana to make one glass of smoothie. For the best taste, use ripe bananas. You can use frozen banana slices.
Milk: for creaminess use milk (dairy or non-dairy both works), it also helps the ingredients blend. I like adding ½ to 1 cup of milk to the blender. For a smoothie without milk, use water, it still tastes awesome.
TIPS
The smoothie recipe is delicious by itself, but feel free to be creative:
*Add more fresh or frozen fruit, such as ½ cup of blackberries or blueberries.
*Add ½ cup of greens like kale, chard or more spinach.
*Add ½ avocado for extra creaminess and healthy fats.
*Add protein with 1 scoop of protein powder.
*Add some chia or hemp seeds for Omega-3 fatty acids.
*Add a few dates for natural sweetness.
