Berry Compote

I love compote and enjoy making my own, what about you guys? This simple fruit compote requires just 1 pot and 10 minutes. You can use fresh or frozen fruit, both of them work well. Perfect for toast, waffles, porridge, yogurt, and more. Yummy. 😋


BERRY COMPOTE

Preparation: 1 minute

Cooking time: 7-10 minutes

Total time: 10 minutes

Serves: 2

Ingredients

* 1 cup frozen or fresh strawberries

* 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries

* 2 tsp cinnamon

* 1 tbsp agave syrup

* ½ cup water


Method

1. Place the fruit, water, cinnamon and agave syrup in a small saucepan and bring to boil.

2. Turn heat down and simmer on medium heat until soft and the fruit starts lose its shape, then remove from the heat and let it cool.

3. Perfect for toast, waffles, porridge, yogurt, and more.

Notes

*Best fresh.
*To Store: it keeps for in a covered container in the fridge for 4-5 days.
*To Freeze: if you used fresh fruit you can freeze this compote for up to 2 months.
