WHAT YOU’LL NEED

This recipe requires the following ingredients:

*Almonds
*Cashews
*Hazelnuts
*Walnuts
*Rosemary
*Butter

Here are some tips to consider:

*You can easily customize this recipe to suit your taste, make any combination of nuts you love and switch up the seasonings, as you wish!

*Use any raw nuts (not toasted) to make your own nut mix, such as almonds, peanuts, pine nuts, hazelnuts, pecans, cashews, walnuts or pumpkin seeds.

*Sweet version: add vanilla extract and maple syrup or honey.

*Spicey version: add cayenne pepper, cumin and chilli powder.

 

TIPS

Let’s see some useful tips:

*Season the nuts a few hours in advance, this way the flavours soak up before roasting. This improves the taste even more!

*Before storing, allow the nuts to cool completely before transferring them to an airtight container, this helps them to keep fresh.

*Storage: make sure to store these nuts in a cool and dark place, as light can cause nuts to expire faster.

 ROSEMARY ROASTED NUTS

(gluten free, vegan and refined sugar free)

 

Preparation time: 5 minutes 

Cooking time: 25 minutes

Total time: 30 minutes

Servings: 8

 

Ingredients

*1 cup whole almond
*1 cup raw cashews
*1 cup hazelnuts
*1 cup walnuts
*2 tbsp fresh rosemary
*2 tbsp butter, melted
*1 tsp salt
 

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180 C/350F/Gas mark 5.

2. Mix together all the ingredients, tossing gently to coat.
3. Spread the mixture on a baking tray.

4. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until toasted, stirring halfway. 
5. Serve warm or cooled to room temperature.

Notes

* To Store: store these roasted nuts covered in a cool place for up to 2 weeks.

To Freeze: you can store these nuts in the fridge (up to 1 month) or freeze (up to 3 months).
