Spiced Winter Coffee

A simple cup of coffee can be improved by adding various ingredients and now in December we love to add winter spices, don’t we? The gorgeous smell of cinnamon and nutmeg invoke feelings of warmth, comfort and happiness. Grab a good book, your favourite blanket and this coffee, perfect! 😊 


YOU’LL NEED

Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make this delicious coffee:
Hot water: boiling water.
Coffee beans: I recommend to use good quality coffee; decaf coffee is fine too.
Cinnamon & nutmeg: use ground cinnamon and nutmeg.
Whipped cream: I used vegan whipped cream. You might want to try steamed milk or vegan cream instead.

OPTIONAL
Have a look at these ideas you can add to this coffee. 😊
*milk: hot, frothy milk is particularly delicious with this winter coffee.
*spices: in this recipe I used cinnamon and nutmeg. Why not try ground cloves or vanilla?
*alcohol: you may want to try this coffee with a little brandy.

SPICED WINTER COFFEE 
(vegan, gluten, wheat, dairy and refined sugar free)

Preparation: 5 minutes
Cooking time: N/A
Total time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1 cup

Ingredients
* 1 heaped tbsp ground coffee
* 1 tsp ground cinnamon 
* ½ tsp ground nutmeg
Toppings:
* vegan whipped cream
* cinnamon


Method

1. Add ground coffee, ground cinnamon and nutmeg to a cafetiere and mix.

 
2. Boil the kettle. Pour into the cafeteria. Let it stand for a few minutes (stirring halfway through) before plunging.

 
3. Garnish with a dollop of whipping cream and add extra cinnamon for decoration.

 
4. Serve immediately. Sip and enjoy! Take a pic and send it to me! 😊
