Pumpkin Spice Latte

Learn how to make homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte so you can enjoy a delicious and cosy drink! Nothing warms the soul more than warm drinks on cold autumn and winter evenings. This comforting fall beverage is wonderfully spiced and it’s so simple to make at home. If you are having friends over, it’s easy to multiply this recipe, just make a big pot of coffee, mix with pumpkin puree and serve it with vegan whipped cream on top. Yum! 

YOU’LL NEED
Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make this recipe:
*Coffee: strongly brewed coffee (ideally espresso coffee) is required here, after all it’s a latte! If you prefer you can use decaffeinated coffee.  
*Milk: I recommend oat or almond milk, but other non-dairy milk like soy or coconut milk will work fine too.
*Pumpkin puree: make fresh if you can: just halve a pumpkin, scoop out the seeds, and bake for about 50 minutes. Once it’s cold blend it in a blender or food processor. If you prefer stronger pumpkin flavour, increase the puree by 1-2 tablespoons.
*Mixed spice: mixed spice is commonly used in the UK; the American version called pumpkin pie spice. If you don’t have it at home, these spices are actually a mixture of ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground ginger and ground cloves, if you have them in your cupboard, you can make it yourself!

PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE


Preparation: 5 minutes 

Cooking time: 5 minutes

Total time: 10 minutes

Serves: 1 glass/mug

 

Ingredients

*⅓ cup pumpkin puree

* ¾ cup dairy free milk

*½ cup strongly brewed coffee (cold)

*½ teaspoon mixed spice

*optional: vegan whipped cream, shredded dairy free chocolate

 

Method

1. Add milk, pumpkin puree and mixed spice in a saucepan over medium heat.

2. Stir and heat until just bubbling, then add coffee.

3. Take the saucepan off the heat and pour into your mug/glass.

4. Decorate with vegan whipped cream and sprinkles of cinnamon.

5. Sip and enjoy! 😊

*Best fresh.

*To Store: You can store this drink in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.

*To Freeze: it’s not freezer friendly.
