Apple and Cinnamon Porridge
(gluten, wheat, dairy and refined sugar free)

Cooking time: 5 minutes
Total time: 8 minutes
Serves: 1 bowl
Ingredients
* ½ cup GF porridge oats
* 1.5 cup DF milk
* 1 apple
* 1 cup of water (or as required)
* 1 tbsp cinnamon
Optional toppings:
cinnamon, walnuts or your favourite toppings
Method
1. In a medium-sized saucepan, heat the milk until it begins to bubble. Add the oats, turn down the heat and allow to cook for about 5 minutes or until the milk absorbed. Stir occasionally.
2. In the meantime, peel and chop the apple into small cubes. Add into a small pan with water and cinnamon. Cook until the apple is soft.
3. Spoon the porridge into a bowl and top with the apple cubes. Sprinkle with little extra cinnamon and whole/finely chopped walnut.

Notes
*To Store: porridge can be stored
covered in the fridge for up to 5 days. Keep separated from toppings.
*To Freeze: porridge can be frozen up to 3 months.
